My story

What I believe in

I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 10 years, 6 of those as a practicing level 3 personal trainer. I believe that everyone should feel good about themselves and enjoyment is key when training. I get great satisfaction from helping clients reach their end goals and ultimately becoming healthier, happier individuals. Whether it be losing weight; building muscle; reaching a new PB; improving their fitness level or training for an event, I enjoy the challenge and I’m fully committed along the journey.

What I enjoy

Personally I get the most enjoyment from functional bodybuilding, practicing mobility, calisthenics training (gymnastic inspired body weight training) and high intensity workouts. I’ve always made fitness and generally staying active, a big part of my life. I set new goals and challenges to keep me motivated and to give me purpose. Whilst I always relish the process of reaching my goals I also enjoy the end-product - looking and feeling fit. After all we only get one body, so look after it!

How I got here

I have been passionate about sport and exercise since a young age. I played football for Wycombe Wanderers, Watford, Brentford & represented England school boys U18s as a youth international. I also competed nationally in gymnastics and athletics, and was awarded a scholarship at Hartpury College.

At the age of 24, I made the transition from gym instructor to a fully qualified personal trainer. I wanted to follow a career in the passion I knew best and this led me to focus the disciplines I was taught through years of coaching into qualifying as a fitness instructor.

Since then I haven’t looked back. At 26 years old I went onto compete in men’s physique, placing 1st, 2nd, & 2nd. I earned my pro card with Miami pro and Pure Elite in 2016, (this involves restricting calories and lowering your body fat whilst maintaining muscle). Following that I’ve been a sponsored athlete with Maximuscle the sports supplement company.

My experience

Since 2014 I’ve trained hundreds of clients with a wide range of ability; aged between 16-80 years old in order to achieve their specific fitness goals. My extensive experience first as an athlete and then as a professional trainer gives me a wide range of tools to support my clients goals. I believe I offer a truly different approach to training because I will never ask my clients to go somewhere I have not been before myself.

Through my own experience I understand what is takes to diet and lose weight,

I understand how to deliver sport specific training programmes, I understand how to build muscle and most importantly, I understand how to have fun whilst doing it.
